The pastor at my wife’s church wanted a little vessel to put ashes in for Ash Wednesday that he could hold in his hand. I had turned this a while back but was not satisfied with the top. After a little rework, I liked it.  Body is Sapelle, top is Walnut and the spindle is just a piece of Poplar dyed black for accent.
