I don’t really enjoy turning cedar — it’s just too soft to be fun. I usually get a lot of tear out on the end grain so it becomes an exercise in sanding. But I had some big chunks given to me by a friend so I thought I would give it a try again. Yes, it is still an exercise but it does sand easily and the end result was pretty nice. This one has one coat of danish oil and several coats of wax so far. About 9″ in diameter.
