I wanted to learn to do some inlay work. I found tortoise shell guitar banding and a very good price – direct from our friends in China! It’s amazing how cheaply you can get this stuff. It is a striking contrast to the blonde maple wood. This was a log someone gave me last year that I had rough turned and put aside to dry. This worked so well I can’t wait to do another. I also want to try inlaying some brass wire in darker wood. There is no end to what you can do!
