This is a mix between a regular bowl and a segmented vessel. I had some 6/4 ash and with putting a 5/4″ ring in it I could get a pretty tall vessel out of two pieces of the ash. The band is walnut. The pot is about 6″ in diameter and about that tall to the top. I did spin about 17 coats of lacquer on it so it is very shiny! The only flaws I could find in this one were flaws in the wood. My first “factory first” pot? Maybe.
