I had picked up some of these translucent shells from the shell shop with the intention of using them in a piece and finally got around to doing so. I’m not sure I like the look but the technique worked out fine. I used sapele for the box since I had a big chunk of it sitting around. I will try to add a bit more visual appeal to the next one but for an experiment it turned out fine.
